Many are long-time members of the insurance industry, and all bring unique expertise to their roles.
Anthony (Tony) Solazzo is an insurance industry veteran with over thirty years of experience in building and scaling companies within the industry. From 2006 to 2010, Tony was the CEO of TRG Insurance Solutions, a provider of outsourced sales services to the insurance industry, which was founded by Tony as BPO3, majority acquired by TRG in 2006 and successfully exited in 2010 through a sale to Tranzact. Tony was then part of the Tranzact management team until he again partnered with TRG to start e-TeleQuote in late 2011. Prior to BPO3, he was Vice President of Business Development at First Source, a large offshore BPO firm focused on insurance sales. Previously, Tony managed about 2,500 sales agents at Jackson National Life, a top-25 life and annuity insurance company in the US. Tony has a BA from Eckerd College and resides with his family in the Tampa, Florida area.
A Medicare industry veteran, Craig joins us after spending the last 27 years with Humana. He began his career as an agent and rose through the ranks to ultimately lead the division responsible for the Medicare Advantage sales channel that oversaw relationships with companies like ours – call centers as well as field marketing organizations (FMO) and independent agents. Under his leadership, sales contributions from those channels grew from ~10% to over 75% of Humana's annual sales and Humana Medicare Advantage membership grew from ~1.5M to 5.1M members.
Ben Porch is focused on advancing e-TeleQuote’s use of technology and business intelligence to meet the evolving customer support needs of consumers and simplify business partner integrations. His keen understanding of technology’s role in the company’s business processes, key performance metrics and customer expectations play an important part in the continued growth of e-TeleQuote. Ben is a seasoned technology professional with prior call center technology operations experience with LeadingResponse and Wyndham Vacations, as well as broad business experience implementing technology solutions for household brand names including AVIS/Budget Group, Century21, Cheaptickets and Orbitz online travel. He attended American University undergraduate and went on to earn a Master of Science in Advanced Technologies from Johns Hopkins University. Ben is a supporter of several Tampa charitable organizations and has served on the board of Make-A-Wish Foundation and The Jack-and-Jill Foundation of Fort Lauderdale.
Steve Cannon is a data science expert with more than 25 years of experience who joined the e-TeleQuote team in September 2021. From 2004-2014, Steve served as the Head of Reference Data for Interactive Brokers in New York City. Since his time with Interactive Brokers, Steve has lived around the world leading data teams at Two Sigma, AQR Capital Management, and ADIA. Now, at e-TeleQuote, Steve uses data to optimize operations and assist our teams in helping more people find insurance coverage.
Darlene Keller has over 30 years of call center leadership experience with expertise in both operations and client services. Prior to joining e-TeleQuote, Darlene was Vice President of Operations for Tranzact Insurance Solutions. Darlene came to Tranzact Insurance Solutions post the acquisition of TRG Insurance Solutions, where she had been Vice President of Client Services. During her career, Darlene has led several large-scale teams across multiple sites both in the U.S. and abroad. Her experience includes managing several operations both onshore and offshore in the BPO industry for large corporations such as SYKES and SITEL. At SYKES Darlene was responsible for the financial client relationships and managed several large clients in the Philippines, Costa Rica and India. During her tenure at SITEL, Darlene lived in Manila, Philippines, where she managed SITEL’s Call Center.
Rachel has over 20 years of experience in leading performance-based digital marketing teams and developing B2B affinity relationship strategies. She spent the first half of her career standing up marketing departments, product development teams, and customer experience approaches for SaaS startups that enabled tracking and content delivery for online partnerships. She later transitioned to consumer-facing strategies to build brands, including Kaplan Test Prep, through direct-to-consumer channels as well as relationship-based business-to-business and business-to-institution models. Rachel is a recipient of the Affiliate Summit Pinnacle Award “Affiliate Marketing Legend” and served two terms as President of the Board of Directors for the Performance Marketing Association. She holds a BBA in Marketing from Eastern Michigan University.
Mahroze Raza is an information technology expert with more than 13 years of experience in call center solutions, software architecture design and process automation. Mahroze joined e-TeleQuote from Montgomery IT Services, a call center solution and automation agency that he founded and led for 5 years. Prior to that, he was Head of Production for TRG Customer Solutions, where he designed and implemented complex solutions for international clients. He graduated from University of Engineering and Technology Lahore with a degree in Computer Engineering. Experience spanning more than a decade in health insurance IT solutions enables Mahroze to understand the requirements, trends and challenges that arise with innovating technologies.
Randy has nearly 20 years of client service and account management experience. He is responsible for driving business results with current vendors and onboarding new lead channels. Randy is also responsible for managing carrier and strategic partner relations. Randy holds a BS from Malone University.
John Scott learned sales and insurance from the ground up. He has spent more than 25 years working every aspect of the health insurance business, starting out with roles like Regional Sales Manager for American Medical Security and Assurant Health. John was based in Virginia for 15 years as a Sales Manager with Virginia Farm Bureau and Strategic Employee Benefits. He also worked as a Sales Representative for Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield and Northwestern Mutual. In 2016, John joined e-TeleQuote as a site manager at the brand-new Brooksville, Florida location. He has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Central Michigan University. John received his Registered Health Underwriter designation from the National Association of Health Underwriters, where he also served in leadership positions, including President of Virginia.
Amanda has over 20 years of Human Resources leadership experience with multiple call center companies, including Sykes, MCI, DIRECTV, and Black Turtle Services. In her previous roles she led the HR support teams to excellence and worked to create a positive work environment for the team members. Amanda achieved her Human Resources Management degree from Ottawa University and holds both SPHR and SCP HR certifications.
Jonathan McSheffrey is a financial professional with over 20 years of experience who joined e-TeleQuote in 2020. Jonathan started his career in 1998 as a Senior Auditor at Arthur Andersen for four years, then moved on as the Corporate Assistant Controller at Global Imaging Systems. He spent 5 years as the Vice President of Finance and Chief Financial Officer at the Greater Tampa Chamber of Commerce and also served as the Director of Corporate Accounting at Catalina Marketing and Bloomin’ Brands Inc. Just before coming to work at e-TeleQuote, Jonathan served as the Director of Finance for the American Veterinary Group. Jonathan holds a B.S. degree in Accounting from the University of Richmond, as well as an MBA from the University of South Florida.
